My dad's new book, A Woman with Demons: The Life of Kamiya Mieko, was officially released today. This book, a biography on Kamiya Mieko, is my father's second English book. I haven't read it yet but I'm fairly confident that it's a good piece of work which I think a number of you would be interested in. I read a first draft manuscript 3-4 years ago, and I've also read the advance peer reviewers' comments of the book both gave me a very positive impression of the book. Furthermore, Kamiya is a fascinating woman, she was one of Japan's first female psychiatrists and an accomplished academic. I wish there was a good biographic blurb in English I could point to, but the best I can do is the book's listing on the MQUP's website here.
My father always buys a large stash of his own books, and I'll be getting 5-6 copies of my own to do with as I will. If you are interested in reading it I can lend/give you a copy. I got a slight advance copy last week which I've been carrying on me, feel free to ask me about it if you see me.
